Marketers, entrepreneurs, and business professionals all face the same problem when it comes to content - they can't keep their audience's attention. Complicated explanations, unclear descriptions, and confusing terms push website visitors away.
Through my blog posts, I help professionals create a bridge to their audiences. By explaining difficult processes in easy-to-understand ways, my clients achieve more success through blogging.
My writing has allowed me to work with amazing clients from all over the world. From New York lawyers to Australian business experts, I've ghostwritten and edited posts that have been featured on websites like Inc., Forbes, and Entrepreneur, maintained company blogs, and developed social media strategies that allow companies to reach new audiences and continue to grow their brand.
I graduated from the University of Pittsburgh with a B.A. in Nonfiction Writing and a B.S.B.A. in Marketing. Immediately after graduation, I worked in Marketing and Public Relations in the beautiful city of Charleston, South Carolina.
In the fall of 2015, I jumped head first into full-time freelance writing. With a small base of clients, I started Erica Hayton LLC and moved back to my home state of Pennsylvania, completely unsure if my crazy plan was going to work. I networked, applied to everything I saw, and slowly but surely, business began taking off.
As my client base continued to grow, I was given the opportunity to draft web copy, create marketing campaigns, develop social media calendars, and write blog posts that would be published all over the web for professionals in a variety of industries. From medical doctors and wellness experts to real estate agents and lawyers, I have adapted the voice of all kinds of professionals struggling to find the right words to tell their stories.
Today, I run my business while traveling the world!
